Design requirements for barrel screw of injection molding machine

Injection molding machine barrel screw design principle: The main part of the pin screw is a common screw, and the pin can be arranged in the melting section or the drop groove of the metering section of the screw or the smooth cylindrical surface without the groove at the end of the metering section. The pins are arranged in a certain arrangement, with varying degrees of density and quantity. The cylindrical pin is formed by fitting the pin into the hole of the screw; the square or diamond pin is formed by milling the pin directly on the screw.

Extruder screw planning considerations

The extruder barrel is filled with plastic and closely matched with the screw. For normal operation, the following important characteristics should be noted. 1. Screw barrel shall be straight. 2. The planning of the screw barrel should be able to enjoy the working pressure of the extruder. These pressures may be as high as 70-140MPa(10000-20000psi), and even higher in injection molding. 3. The inner wall surface of the screw barrel should be more wear-resistant than the extruder screw, because the screw is easier to replace than the screw barrel, and the reprocessing is cheaper than the screw barrel. 4. The support at the rear end of the screw barrel shall be a sliding support, which shall expand when the screw barrel is heated. Rigid support will cause bending of the screw barrel, which may

Innovative Technology Trends in Twin Screw Market

High speed, high efficiency and energy saving have been the main theme of continuous improvement of international plastic machinery in recent years. High speed and high output allow investors to get high returns with low input. However, the high speed of the screw brings a series of problems to be solved: for example, the short residence time of the material in the screw is easy to cause uneven mixing and plasticization of the material; Over-high shear may cause rapid heating and thermal decomposition of the material; Extrusion stability problems may occur; High-performance auxiliary equipment and precision control system are required to match it. Wear of screw and barrel and design of reduction transmission box, etc. Therefore, to provide solutions to the problems that may be brought about by high speed, it is

Common materials for screw

At present, China's commonly used screw materials are 45 steel, 40Cr, ammoniated steel, 38CrMOAl, high temperature alloy and so on. 1) No. 45 steel is cheap and has good processing performance, but its wear resistance and corrosion resistance are poor. Heat treatment: quenching and tempering HB220-270, high frequency quenching HRC45--48. 2) The performance of 40Cr is better than that of 45 steel, but it is often plated with a layer of chromium to improve its corrosion resistance and wear resistance. However, the requirements for the chromium plating layer are high, the coating is too thin and easy to wear, too thick is easy to peel off, but accelerated corrosion after peeling, has been less application. Heat treatment: quenching and tempering HB220-27

What are the requirements for the manufacturing quality of the screw

What are the requirements for the manufacturing quality of the screw? ① The screw of the extruder should be made of alloy steel with small thermal deformation, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Commonly used materials are 38CrMoAlA alloy steel or 40Cr steel, repair parts can also be made of 45 steel

Zhoushan screw wear solution

Screw is mostly used in plastic molding equipment, such as plastic profile extruders, injection molding machines, etc. Screw and barrel are the core components of plastic molding equipment, the part of heating extrusion plasticization, and the core of plastic machinery. The protection of the screw became the primary problem.
