An Effective Method for Prolonging the Service Life of the Conical Double Barrel Screw

The cone twin-barrel screw is an important part of the injection molding machine and the core of the injection molding machine. It can be said that the correct use and maintenance of the cone twin-barrel screw play a decisive role in the production efficiency and service life of the injection molding machine. Want to effectively extend the service life of the cone double barrel screw, the correct cleaning and use is the key.

Matters needing attention in the use of cone double barrel screw

Match the material to the cone twin barrel screw. In particular, corrosive materials and hard materials, such as PVC, flame retardant materials, glass fiber materials, etc., add special screws to avoid the use of ordinary screws. If ordinary machines need to pay attention to the use of corrosive materials, use stable materials such as high-density polyethylene, high-impact polystyrene, etc. for cleaning and replacement. If ordinary machines occasionally use glass fiber materials, you must pay attention to the high material temperature, low cone double barrel screw speed, and low back pressure.

Cone double barrel screw plasticizing should pay attention to matters

The cone twin-barrel screw cannot prevent wear during continuous work, so how do we maintain it in our daily work? The wear of the cone twin-barrel screw is mainly manifested in the wear during the current application process, especially in the long-term production of high fillers or glass Fiber reinforced materials, the inner diameter of the cone twin-barrel screw barrel will increase. Because the hardness of the inner surface of the barrel is higher than that of the screw, the damage of the barrel is slower than that of the screw.

Installation and adjustment method of cone double barrel screw

Cone double barrel screw is often used in the extruder, so that the extruder has the characteristics of uniform plasticization and mixing, high output, stable quality, wide range of adaptation, long service life, pvc direct molding and so on. Equipped with the corresponding measuring and forming die and auxiliary machines, various thermoplastic plastics, especially polyvinyl chloride powder, can be directly sent to urban management, plates, sheets, rods, films, special-shaped and other plastic products, and the modification and powder granulation process of various plastics can also be completed.

Causes of wear of cone twin-barrel screw and evaluation of methods to reduce wear

Most of the wear of the cone twin barrel screw occurs in the high pressure area, especially in the transition section and the last few turns of the metering section. These areas are prone to wear because the high pressure will cause the cone double barrel screw to bend, which will cause the outer diameter of the screw to contact the metal of the inner wall of the barrel, which will cause wear. The force that causes the cone twin barrel screw to bend is a differential pressure, not the usual high pressure.

Cleaning and Maintenance Method of Cone Double Barrel Screw

The conical twin-barrel screw is composed of a common metal material with a certain mechanical strength as the base material, and a layer of special alloy material protective layer pipe and conical twin-screw are additionally compounded in the inner hole working surface. The outer layer of the cone double barrel screw has a certain thickness and a certain hardness of the alloy protective layer according to the different conditions of its use, or has the effect of wear resistance, or has the effect of corrosion resistance, or has the effect of both wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
